Welles arrived at the shelter after being found near Richwood Road in Detroit Lakes mid September 2023. He was malnourished and scared, not sure why he was suddenly living in a strange place with all new smells, noises and people. He has put on some weight and his coat is looking much brighter, but Welles is still pretty shy and sometimes will hiss (just cat talk) if we approach him too quickly...we know this is just his way of telling us he is scared/unsure of everything and do not think any less of him! From the moment he arrived, Welles has show interest in other kitties and we believe a friend or two would help him gain more confidence around humans and help him become accustomed to life as a pampered kitty kat! Maybe you have space to foster Welles while he continues to come out of his shell? Contact us if you are interested!
