Meet Roadie – A One-Year-Old Gray Velvet Dream Who’s Ready to Trust Again

Roadie is a stunning, soft-as-smoke gray girl with huge golden eyes and the sweetest baby face you’ve ever seen. At just one year old, she’s still a kitten at heart — playful, curious, and already a world-class cuddler when she feels safe.

She’s the definition of “shy but dying to be brave.” Give her a quiet corner and a gentle voice, and Roadie turns into pure liquid love: head bumps, tiny squeaky purrs, and full-body leans into your hand. She adores spring toys, crinkle balls, and anything she can bunny-kick with dramatic flair.

**Roadie’s current love languages:**
- Petting: Yes, please! She melts for slow cheek rubs and chin scratches — just keep movements soft and predictable so she doesn’t get spooked.
- Short pick-up cuddles: Totally okay near her safe spot. She’ll even relax and purr, but long carry sessions are still a “maybe later.”
- Playtime: Total goofball once she knows the toy isn’t going to eat her.
- Other cats: Unknown (due to how full the shelter is, she has been unable to meet roommates as we are trying to keep down the spread of any potential illness).  She’s gentle and non-reactive through kennel doors, so with slow intros she may do just fine.

All Roadie needs now is a calm, patient person who understands that a one-year-old shy girl just needs a couple of quiet weeks to decide you’re her entire universe. Once she does? You’ll have the softest, sweetest gray shadow who greets you with tiny mews, sleeps curled against your side, and thanks you every day for choosing her.
