Hardi – The Whirlwind Youngster Who Moonlights as a Professional Cuddlebug

Hardi is a fluffy little cloud of gray and white with a permanent “who, me?” expression and the energy of a wind-up toy that never runs out of batteries. At any given moment she is either (a) ricocheting around the room like a furry pinball, or (b) melted in your arms like a heated marshmallow. There is no in-between.

Left on the floor, Hardi is on the hunt: a speck of dust, a stray feather, a piece of lint that dared to float by—everything is prey. She pounces, skids, flips, and launches herself at imaginary foes with the dedication of an Olympic athlete. Watch her spot a piece of fluff across the room and you’ll see the most dramatic slow-motion stalk you’ve ever witnessed from a kitten.

But the second you scoop her up? Instant off-switch. Hardi goes completely limp, burrows her face into the crook of your arm, and starts the loudest, rumbliest purr you’ve ever heard from something this small. She will stay there for hours if you let her—kneading, drooling tiny happy drool, and occasionally looking up at you with heart-melting half-closed eyes that say “this is my favorite place in the whole world.”
