Hydra – The Velcro Void Kitten (Now With Extra Boy Energy) Who Comes With Nine Lives’ Worth of Love (and One Slightly Wonky GPS)

Hydra is a glossy black panther prince with a coat so shiny it reflects your soul and the derpiest, most devoted heart in the entire shelter. He is 100% convinced that humans exist solely to be climbed, cuddled, and worn like the world’s warmest living scarf. Boundaries? Never heard of them.

Playtime is his entire personality. Hydra will chase, pounce, flip, and ricochet off furniture with the enthusiasm of a kitten who has exactly zero chill… and occasionally face-plants because he was too busy staring adoringly at you to notice the wall. (We’re not sure if he’s just a little bit special or has a mild vision quirk; either way, it makes him ten times more lovable.) Every toy, shoelace, or stray dust bunny is the most exciting discovery in history, and he MUST bring it to you for immediate celebration.

Cuddles are mandatory and immediate. Open the door and Hydra launches himself at you like a tiny heat-seeking missile. Petting? He’ll scramble straight up your arm, park himself on your shoulder like a pirate parrot, and purr so hard you’ll feel it in your spine. Pick him up and he goes full ragdoll—rubbing his face on yours, drooling tiny happy drools, and kneading biscuits with the intensity of a baker on deadline.

He currently shares his kingdom with sweet Ziti; the two nap in a tangled pile of black fluff and take turns murdering the same feather wand. They adore each other but don’t have to be adopted together. Hydra would be over the moon with a playful, tolerant cat buddy or perfectly thrilled ruling the world as your one-and-only shoulder gremlin.
